Combi deal articles

Here you can add/edit/remove combi deal articles, changes will be performed on the POS when the task is received and executed. You can choose to change the combi deal article on one location or multiple locations at once, e.g to have the same price everywhere. And you can also edit multiple combi deal articles at the same time

Combi deal articles overview

❶ → buttons and actions that apply for the whole page

❷ → checkboxes that indicate which combi deal article is selected, enable/disable the top most checkbox to select/deselect all combi deal articles

Press the icon to be able to enter a search string to quickly find the article(s) you are looking for
When you pressan MS Excel file containing all the combi deal articles is created and downloaded to the PC’s download folder
- The export is created based on the data as it is shown at the moment of the export, i.e. the visible columns, deleted articles when they are active, etc.
Press the icon to create a new combi deal article
Press the icon to deactivate the selected combi deal articles
When the deactivated combi deal articles are visible you can re-activate the selected, deactivated combi deal by pressing this button
Press this button to refresh the data
Show deleted Combi deal articles → when the slider is enabled, deleted/deactivated combi deal articles are shown in the list
- Combi deal articles that are present in multiple locations but haven’t been deactivated in all locations can be recognised by an orange indicator
- Combi deal articles that have been deactivated can be recognised by the red indicator at the end, when group locations is enabled this means that this applies to all locations
Group locations → when the slider is enabled the combi deals that are in multiple locations are shown in one line. When the slider is disabled articles are displayed in a separate line per location
- E.g. Combi deal A is present in location 1 and 2
  - Slider enabled:
    - Location 1, Location 2 Combi deal A
  - Slider disabled:
    - Location 1 Combi deal A
    - Location 2 Combi deal A

Show columns → when this button is displayed not all columns are visible. Click the button to be able to select the columns that you want to have visible
Hide columns → when this button is displayed all columns are visible. Click the button to be able to hide columns
- Press ‘Reset’ to return the visibility of the columns to default
You can also adjust the width of each column
- Move the mouse cursor in the header row of the columns until it changes to the size modifier icon
- Click and hold the mouse button while dragging the icon to the left or right

The sequence in which the data is presented in a column can be adjusted by usingnext to the column heading
- The button turns blue when you hover over it with your mouse, otherwise it’s grey
- This is the default way in which the button is displayed
  - Indicates that the info in the corresponding column is not rearranged in a different sequence than the default. However, another column may be rearranged which causes this column to also be in a different sequence
- This indicates that the data in the column is set to display in an ascending order (e.g. 1-2-3-4, a-b-c-d. etc)
- This indicates that the data in the column is set to diplay in a descending order (4-3-2-1, z-y-x-w, etc)

You can also apply a filter to some columns. The conditions you enter in the filter determine what is shown in the column

A drop down menu appears
- You can choose to filter by location❶
  - Enable/disable the checkbox for the locations you want to view/hide and press ‘Filter’
  - Use ‘Clear’to reset the filter to default
- And/or set a number of other conditions❷
  - Use the drop down menu to choose the conditions you want to set
  - In the second field you can either enter a number or text (depends on the first condition you set)
  - You can also set a second condition
    - Se the third field to ‘And’ to apply both conditions
    - Set the third field to ‘Or’ to apply one or the other
    - Fill the bottom fields with the other conditions in the same way as the first two fields
  - Press ‘Filter’ to apply the conditions to the column
  - Use ‘Clear’ to reset the filter to default

Combi deal article settings

In the column labelled ‘Actions’❶ you can press small icon buttons to indicate what you want to do with the combi deal article in the corresponding line
- Press this button to edit the combi deal in the corresponding line
  - Note that whenis in front of the combi deal name, it indicates that changes to the combi deal article were done earlier but that they haven’t been started and/or executed yet. You can check the task planner to see/change what is planned to be changed for the combi deal
- Press this button to duplicate the selected combi deal article with all its settings. You are redirected to edit combi deal so you can alter the combi deal’s details
  - Note that all settings can be the same as long as the name is unique
- Press this button to unify the combi deal article in the corresponding line across all locations. This is basically the same as duplicating a combi deal article, only now you are creating the combi deal with the exact same settings on all locations. You are redirected to edit combi deal, here you can see that you are editing the combi deal article for all locations
- Press this button to deactivate the combi deal in the corresponding line
  - Press this button to activate the deactivated combi deal article in the corresponding line
- Press this button to see a pop up showing you info about the combi deal in the corresponding line❷From this pop up you can also start unification of the combi deal article by pressing

Edit combi deal article

❶→ you can see the combi deal name you are editing

Whenis next to the combi deal name it indicates that changes for this combi deal article were done earlier but that these were not started/executed yet. You can checkout the task planner to see/edit the changes that are planned for the combi deal
With you return to the combi deal overview, when you already made some changes a pop up appears informing you that there are unsaved changes
- Pressto discard the changes and return to the overview without changes to the combi deal
- Pressto stay in the edit form
Withyou can go to the following combi deal article in the overview list without having to return to the overview
Withyou can go to the previous combi deal article in the overview list without having to return to the overview
Withyou can refresh the page

❷→ you can see for which locations you are making changes to the combi deal article

Pressto be able to select available locations for which you are going to edit the combi deal
You can also press one of the shortcuts (notice the change of location(s) you are editing for)
- All → you will be editing for all locations where the combi deal article is present
- Active → you will be editing for all active locations where the combi deal article is present
- Deactivated → you will be editing for all deactivated locations where the combi deal article is present
- Existing → you will be editing for all existing locations
- Unified → you will be editing for all new locations

❸→ click Expand ∨ to be able to unify or disable the combi deal on other locations, use Collapse ∧ to hide the section

When expanded this shows you the number of locations of the total that are showing, in the example❸it shows 2 locations of the total of 2 locations
You can use the shortcuts to indicate which locations you want tot have showing
- Show all → all locations are shown
- Show active → only locations where the article is active are shown
- Show inactive → only locations where the combi deal article is deactivated and/or non-existent are shown
You can also select predefined criteria sets so you don’t have to select the same locations over and over again
By enabling one or more location sliders you indicate that you are going to unify or disable the combi deal article on the corresponding locations, disabling sliders will do the opposite
The colours in which sliders or buttons indicate the corresponding status❹

❺→ the edit form is split into separate sections, which sections are shown depends on which features are enabled

General

When you are editing for multiple locations and the current field differs across the locations you can press this button to view what is different and you can immediately change it if you want. Example when combi deal number is not the same for all locations
- (Primary) behind the location means that this is the primary location, all field unifications are based on this location
- When you press Replace for all the field value that is used for the primary location is set for all locations
- When you press Replace with primary the field value that is used for the primary location is set for the location on the corresponding line

In this section you can edit the general settings, such as name, for the combi deal

Article name → enter or change the name you want the combi deal to have, make sure that this name is not an exact match for another combi deal on the same location. You can use the same name on other locations, when you are editing for multiple locations the name is automatically the same for all selected locations
Internal name → you can enter a different name that is used for displaying the combi deal on devices that are only used internally. This name will not be used on bills and reports
- This can be convenient to show a shorter name in POS, HHT, Kitchen screen, etc
Article number → enter or edit the number you want to assign to the combi deal, note that this number cannot be used twice on the same location. You can use the same number for other locations
Don’t suggest using combi deal when items are ordered → when this checkbox is enabled unTill POS doesn’t suggest to order this combi deal when its articles are ordered as separate articles
- For example: Menu has tomato soup, hamburger, and ice cream
- Waiter adds tomato soup, a hamburger, and an ice cream as separate articles in an order → unTill does not suggest to replace it with combi deal article ‘Menu’, which may be for a different price, when the checkbox is enabled

Appearance

In this section you can set how the combi deal button is shown on the various devices

PC text → you can enter a different combi deal name that will be displayed on the PC
HHT text → you can enter a different name that will be displayed on the handheld device, easy to use shorter names because the device is much smaller
- You can see examples of what it’s going to look like❶
Font → you can use the drop down menu to select a font that is used for the text
Font size → you can enter the font size that will be used to display the text
Color → you can enter a colour code or click the colour to be able to choose the colour, this is the colour in which the text is displayed
Background → you can enter a colour code or click the colour to be able to choose the colour, this is the colour that is used as background colour
Font-style → optionally you can also set other style options
- → press this button to have the text displayed in bold
- → press this button to have the text displayed in italics
- → press this button to have the text underlined

Routing

In this section you indicate the combi deal’s department and in which area it can be ordered

Department → use the drop down menu to assign the combi deal to a department
→ press this button to view the sales area section❶in full screen
→ press this button to add a sales area to the list
→ press this button to remove the selected sales area from the list
→ press this button to navigate to the sales area section in WM

A combi deal can be ordered in one part of the restaurant but not in the other, an overview of the sales areas is shown❶
- Name → enable the checkbox of the corresponding sales areas to select them, enable/disable the checkbox in the header to select/deselect all sales areas at once
- Limited → enable this checkbox to indicate that the article will only be sometimes available in the corresponding sales area
  - Period → use the drop down menu to select a period in which the combi deal is available in the sales area. When the period is not active the combi deal article will not be available for ordering in this sales area
- Note that when there are no sales areas shown, the combi deal article is not available in POS for ordering

Add area

The pop up window is divided in two columns
- Available → a list of all available sales/preparation areas❶
- Used → a list of sales/preparation areas that are already added to the article❷
- → use this button to search an area in the corresponding list, so you can quickly find what you need
- Useto change the sequence in which the areas are listed
- Useto be able to filter on text which areas are shown in the list
- Select all → enable/disable the checkbox to select/deselect all areas in the list at once. Or enable/disable one or more checkboxes of corresponding areas to select/deselect them
Between the two columns are four buttons❸

→ move all areas (selected and unselected) from the ‘Available’ list❶to the ‘Used’ list❷thus adding all sales areas to the combi deal

→ move the selected areas from the ‘Available’ list❶ to the ‘Used’ list❷thus adding the selected sales areas to the combi deal article

→ move the selected areas from the ‘Used’ list❷to the ‘Available’ list❶thus removing the selected sales areas from the combi deal

→ move all areas (selected and unselected) from the ‘Used’ list❷to the ‘Available’ list❶thus removing all sales areas for the combi deal when the task is executed

When you are done adding/removing sales areas, pressto save the changes. These will be executed when the task is planned
- Useto revert all area changes and return to combi deal editing

Combi deal items

A combi deal can contain articles that are automatically added to the order when the combi deal is ordered. But it can also contain options which requires the waiter to choose an article from each option. A mix of articles and options is also possible

Estimated price (range): → the price for a combi deal is the sum of the price for each chosen articles during ordering. Here WM shows the price for which the combi deal will most likely be sold
Inherit the price → enable to have the price from the first price level used as price for all prices in the article
- You can still manually adjust the price per price level when this is enabled
→ press the button to view the articles and options overview❶in full screen
→ when you have multiple options and articles, you can press the button to move the selected up in the list. The list sequence is also the sequence in which the options and articles are presented in POS
→ when you have multiple must options and articles, you press the button to move the selected down in the list. The list sequence is also the sequence in which the options and articles are presented in POS
→ press the button to add an option or article to the combi deal
→ press the button to remove the selected options or articles from the combi deal
→ when an article is selected in the overview press the button to navigate to the article section in WM
→ when an option is selected in the overview, press the button to navigate to the options section in WM

Combi deal items

When the combi deals items overview doesn’t have any you need to add one or more articles and/or options
To edit an existing article or option, select one from the list by clicking it or enable the corresponding checkbox. When you enable/disable the checkbox in the header, you select/deselect all options and articles in the list
N^o → this column shows the sequence number for the article or option. The option sequence in the list is the same that is used when the options are presented in POS
- E.g. option ‘Starter’ has N^o 1 and option N^o 2 is ‘Mains’ then the waiter always needs to choose an article as starter before choosing an article as main
Option → when the line displays an option this is indicated by ✓
Name → the name for the article or option is displayed
Course → default the article’s course is used. To automatically use a different course for the article or option when it is added to an order as part of this combi deal, select a different course from the drop down menu
Group → enable the checkbox to indicate that the article’s group VAT will be used, this checkbox is only available for articles
Price level name → each price level has its own column and shows the corresponding price for the article. This is only available for articles, for option articles you need to change the price in the option
VAT → when you don’t use group VAT you can enter the VAT percentage that is used for the corresponding article. This is only available for articles, for option articles you need to change the VAT in the option
Sign → when you don’t use group VAT you can enter a VAT sign that corresponds with the VAT percentage for the corresponding article. This is only available for articles, for option articles you need to change the VAT sign in the option
→ this button is only available for options in the overview, press it to view the details of the selected option. You cannot make changes to option in this overview, this needs to be done in the option itself

Add/edit article/options

The pop up window is divided in two columns
- Available → a list of all available options and articles❶ the available articles and options depends on the selected locations
- Used → a list of options and/or articles that are already added to the article❷
- Each column is itself divided into separate columns showing the the name and department for the corresponding article or option
- An option is indicated by✓
- → use this button to search an option or article in the corresponding list, so you can quickly find what you need
- Useto change the sequence in which the options and articles are listed
- Useto be able to filter on text which articles and options are shown in the list
- Select all → enable/disable the checkbox to select/deselect all articles and options in the list at once. Or enable/disable one or more checkboxes of corresponding articles/options to select/deselect them
Between the two columns are four buttons❸

→ move all articles and options (selected and unselected) from the ‘Available’ list❶to the ‘Used’ list❷thus adding all options and articles to the combi deal

→ move the selected options and articles from the ‘Available’ list❶ to the ‘Used’ list❷thus adding the selected to the combi deal

→ move all articles and options (selected and unselected) from the ‘Used’ list❷to the ‘Available’ list❶thus removing all options and articles from the combi deal

Deactivate combi deal article

When you pressedto deactivate a combi deal article, a pop up opens. This shows which combi deal you are going to deactivate and the locations where the combi deal can no longer be used❶
- When the combi deal locations are grouped, it will be deactivated on all locations
- When the combi deal locations aren’t grouped, you need to deactivate the combi deal one location at a time
Default the task to deactivate the combi deal article is scheduled immediately, you can use the calendar and clock❷to set another date and time for when the task will be executed

Restore combi deal article

When you pressfor a deactivated combi deal article a pop up opens. This shows which combi deal you are going to activate and the locations where the it will be available again
- When the combi deal locations are grouped, it will be activated on all locations
- When the combi deal locations aren’t grouped, you need to activate the combi deal article one location at a time
Pressto set the task to activate the combi deal article
- This task is always executed as soon as possible
