In this section you can edit and create a group

For reporting purposes unTill uses a hierarchy. This way you can easily group certain articles and show specific information. At the top level of this hierarchy are the categories, for example Food, Beverages, Recreation, etc.
The second hierarchy level divides a category into groups. These groups are used to specify the VAT for all articles assigned to the group
Because groups are still a rather broad division, departments divide them into even smaller parts
To each department you then assign articles and/or combi deals, so you can easily filter in POS which articles are shown by selecting a department

Groups overview

❶ → buttons and actions that apply for the whole page

❷ → checkboxes that indicate which group is selected, enable/disable the top most checkbox to select/deselect all groups

❸ → drop down to allow you to choose which columns are visible

❹ → in the actions column you can indicate what you want to do the selected groups

Pressto return to the Products overview page
Press the icon to be able to enter a search string to quickly find the group(s) you are looking for
When you pressan MS Excel file containing all the groups is created and downloaded to the PC’s download folder
- The export is created based on the data as it is shown at the moment of the export, i.e. the visible columns, deleted groups when they are active, etc.
Press the icon to create a new group
Press the icon to deactivate the selected groups
When the deactivated groups are visible you can re-activate the selected, deactivated groups by pressing this button
Press this button to refresh the data
Show deleted Groups → when the slider is enabled, deleted/deactivated groups are shown in the list
- Groups that are present in multiple locations but haven’t been deactivated in all locations can be recognised by an orange indicator
- Groups that have been deactivated can be recognised by the red indicator at the end, when group locations is enabled this means that this applies to all locations
Group locations → when the slider is enabled the groups that are in multiple locations are shown in one line. When the slider is disabled articles are displayed in a separate line per each location
- E.g. Group A is present in location 1 and 2
  - Slider enabled:
    - Location 1, Location 2 Group A
  - Slider disabled:
    - Location 1 Group A
    - Location 2 Group A

Show columns → when this button is displayed not all columns are visible. Click the button to be able to select the columns that you want to have visible
Hide columns → when this button is displayed all columns are visible. Click the button to be able to hide columns
- Press ‘Reset’ to return the visibility of the columns to default
You can also adjust the width of each column
- Move the mouse cursor in the header row of the columns until it changes to the size modifier icon
- Click and hold the mouse button while dragging the icon to the left or right

The sequence in which the data is presented in a column can be adjusted by usingnext to the column heading
- The button turns blue when you hover over it with your mouse, otherwise it’s grey
- This is the default way in which the button is displayed
  - Indicates that the info in the corresponding column is not rearranged in a different sequence than the default. However, another column may be rearranged which causes this column to also be in a different sequence
- This indicates that the data in the column is set to display in an ascending order (e.g. 1-2-3-4, a-b-c-d. etc)
- This indicates that the data in the column is set to diplay in a descending order (4-3-2-1, z-y-x-w, etc)

You can also apply a filter to some columns. The conditions you enter in the filter determine what is shown in the column
Pressto apply to the corresponding column
A drop down menu appears
- You can choose to filter by location❶
  - Enable/disable the checkbox for the locations you want to view/hide and press ‘Filter’
  - Use ‘Clear’to reset the filter to default
- And/or set a number of other conditions❷
  - Use the drop down menu to choose the conditions you want to set
  - In the second field you can either enter a number or text (depends on the first condition you have set)
  - You can also set a second condition
    - Se the third field to ‘And’ to apply both conditions
    - Set the third field to ‘Or’ to apply one or the other
    - Fill the bottom fields with the other conditions in the same way as the first two fields
  - Press ‘Filter’ to apply the conditions to the column
  - Use ‘Clear’ to reset the filter to default

Group settings

In the column labeled ‘Actions’❶ you can press small icon buttons to indicate what you want to do with the group in the corresponding line
- Press this button to edit the group in the corresponding line
  - Note that whenis in front of the group name, it indicates that changes to the group were done earlier but that they haven’t been started and/or executed yet. You can check out the task planner to see/change what is planned to be changed for the group
- Press this button to duplicate the selected group with all its settings. You are redirected to the edit group form so you can alter the group‘s details
  - Note that all settings can be the same as long as the name is unique
- Press this button to unify the group in the corresponding line across all locations. This is basically the same as duplicating an article, only now you are creating the article with the exact same settings on all locations. You are redirected to the edit group form here you can see that you are editing the group for all locations
- Press this button to deactivate the group in the corresponding line
  - Press this button to activate the deactivated group in the corresponding line
- Press this button to see pop up showing you info about the group in the corresponding line❷From this pop up you can also start unification of the group by pressing

Edit group

❶→ you can see the group name you are editing

Whenis next to the group name it indicates that changes for this group were done earlier but that these were not started/executed yet. You can checkout the task planner to see/edit the changed that are planned for the group
With you return to the group overview, when you already made some changes a pop up appears informing you that there are unsaved changes
- Pressto discard the changes and return to the group overview without changes to the group
- Pressto stay in the edit form
Withyou can go to the following group in the overview list without having to return to group overview
Withyou can go the previous group in the overview list without having to return to the group overview
Withyou can refresh the page

❷→ you can see for which locations you are making changes to the group

Pressto be able to select available locations for which you are going to edit the group
You can also press one of the shortcuts (notice the change of location(s) you are editing for)
- All → you will be editing for all locations where the group is present
- Active → you will be editing for all active locations where the group is present
- Deactivated → you will be editing for all deactivated locations where the group is present
- Existing → you will be editing for all existing locations
- Unified → you will be editing for all new locations

❸→ click Expand ∨ to be able to unify or disable the group on other locations, use Collapse ∧ to hide the section

When expanded this shows you the number of locations that are showing of the total, in the example❸it shows 2 locations of the total of 2 locations
You can use the shortcuts to indicate which locations you want tot have showing
- Show all → all locations are shown
- Show active → only locations where the group is active are shown
- Show inactive → only locations where the group is deactivated and/or non-existent are shown
You can also select predefined criteria sets so you don’t have to select the same locations over and over again
By enabling one or more location sliders you indicate that you are going to unify or disable the group on the corresponding locations, disabling sliders will do the opposite
The colours in which sliders, or buttons indicate the corresponding status❹

❺→ enter/edit the group’s settings

Name → enter the name by which you can identify the group
Number → enter a sequence number you want the group to have, you can also use ▲ and ▼ to adjust the number
- When the number is entered, it is validated for its uniqueness. When it is not unique a message is givenyou should change the number to a unique one
- When you changed the number you can revert to the previous number with
Category → select a category to assign the group to, from the drop down menu
3rd part ID → you can enter an ID by which a third party can identify this group, usually this is provided by the third party
Voucher group → enable the slider to indicate that this group is voucher group and is not used to sell articles
- VAT settings are not available when this is enabled

VAT

VAT group → enter the percentage of VAT that will be used for articles that are assigned to this group
VAT sign → when required you can enter the VAT sign that corresponds with the percentage
Secondary VAT group → you can enter a secondary VAT percentage that can be manually applied via a button in POS, for example when an article has different VAT for dine in and take away

BOOKKEEPING

VAT → use the drop down menu to select a bookkeeping account that is used to register the group VAT
Turnover → use the drop down menu to select a bookkeeping account that is used to register the group turnover

Complete creating or editing a group with the following buttons:

press this button to check whether creating or editing the group doesn’t cause any errors

press this button to save the changes and get redirected to the task planner to schedule when these changes will be executed on the POS system(s)

press this button to save and plan the changes immediately, you can change scheduling as long as the task has not been executed yet

press this button to undo all the changes you made during this editing

Deactivate group

When you pressedto deactivate a group, a pop up opens. This shows which article you are going to deactivate and the locations where the group can no longer be used❶
- When the group locations are grouped, the group will be deactivated on all locations
- When the group locations aren’t grouped, you need to deactivate the group one location at a time
Default the task to deactivate the group is scheduled immediately, you can use the calendar and clock❷to set another date and time for when the task will be executed
Pressto save and plan the task to deactivate the group

Restore group

When you pressfor a deactivated group a pop up opens. This shows which group you are going to activate and the locations where the article will be available again
- When the group locations are grouped, the group will be activated on all locations
- When the group locations aren’t grouped, you need to activate the group one location at a time
Pressto set the task to activate the group
- This task is always executed as soon as possible
