Products

In this section you can edit and create a department

For reporting purposes unTill uses a hierarchy. This way you can easily group certain articles and show specific information. At the top level of this hierarchy are the categories, for example, Food, Beverages, Recreation, etc
The second hierarchy level divides a category into groups. These groups are uses to specify the VAT for all articles assigned to the group
Because groups are still a rather broad division, departments divide them into even smaller parts
To each department you then assign articles and/or combi deals, so you can easily filter in POS which articles are shown by selecting a department

Departments overview

❶ → buttons and actions that apply for the whole page

❷ → checkboxes that indicate which department is selected, enable/disable the top most checkbox to select/deselect all departments

❸ → drop down to allow you to choose which columns are visible

❹ → in the actions column you can indicate what you want to do the selected department

Pressto return to the Products overview page
Press the icon to be able to enter a search string to quickly find the department(s) you are looking for
When you pressan MS Excel file containing all the departments is created and downloaded to the PC’s download folder
- The export is created based on the data as it is shown at the moment of the export, i.e. the visible columns, deleted departments when they are active, etc.
Press the icon to create a new department
Press the icon to deactivate the selected departments
When the deactivated departments are visible you can re-activate the selected, deactivated departments by pressing this button
Press this button to refresh the data
Show deleted Departments → when the slider is enabled, deleted/deactivated departments are shown in the list
- Departments that are present in multiple locations but haven’t been deactivated in all locations can be recognised by an orange indicator
- Departments that have been deactivated can be recognised by the red indicator at the end, when group locations is enabled this means that this applies to all locations
Group locations → when the slider is enabled the departments that are in multiple locations are shown in one line. When the slider is disabled departments are displayed in a separate line per each location
- E.g. Department A is present in location 1 and 2
  - Slider enabled:
    - Location 1, Location 2 Department A
  - Slider disabled:
    - Location 1 Department A
    - Location 2 Department A

Show columns → when this button is displayed not all columns are visible. Click the button to be able to select the columns that you want to have visible
Hide columns → when this button is displayed all columns are visible. Click the button to be able to hide columns
- Press ‘Reset’ to return the visibility of the columns to default
You can also adjust the width of each column
- Move the mouse cursor in the header row of the columns until it changes to the size modifier icon
- Click and hold the mouse button while dragging the icon to the left or right

This example clip is adjusting the column width of a generated report, the same principle applies to this department frontpage

The sequence in which the data is presented in a column can be adjusted by usingnext to the column heading
- The button turns blue when you hover over it with your mouse, otherwise it’s grey
- This is the default way in which the button is displayed
  - Indicates that the info in the corresponding column is not rearranged in a different sequence than the default. However, another column may be rearranged which causes this column to also be in a different sequence
- This indicates that the data in the column is set to display in an ascending order (e.g. 1-2-3-4, a-b-c-d. etc)
- This indicates that the data in the column is set to diplay in a descending order (4-3-2-1, z-y-x-w, etc)

This example clip is adjusting the sequence of a column in a generated report, the same principle applies to this department frontpage

You can also apply a filter to some columns. The conditions you enter in the filter determine what is shown in the column
Pressto apply to the corresponding column
A drop down menu appears
- You can choose to filter by location❶
  - Enable/disable the checkbox for the locations you want to view/hide and press ‘Filter’
  - Use ‘Clear’to reset the filter to default
- And/or set a number of other conditions❷
  - Use the drop down menu to choose the conditions you want to set
  - In the second field you can either enter a number or text (depends on the first condition you have set)
  - You can also set a second condition
    - Se the third field to ‘And’ to apply both conditions
    - Set the third field to ‘Or’ to apply one or the other
    - Fill the bottom fields with the other conditions in the same way as the first two fields
  - Press ‘Filter’ to apply the conditions to the column
  - Use ‘Clear’ to reset the filter to default

Department settings

In the column labeled ‘Actions’❶ you can press small icon buttons to indicate what you want to do with the department in the corresponding line
- Press this button to edit the department in the corresponding line
  - Note that whenis in front of the department name, it indicates that changes to the department were done earlier but that they haven’t been started and/or executed yet. You can check out the task planner to see/change what is planned to be changed for the department
- Press this button to duplicate the selected department with all its settings. You are redirected to the edit department form so you can alter the department‘s details
  - Note that all settings can be the same as long as the name is unique
- Press this button to unify the department in the corresponding line across all locations. This is basically the same as duplicating an department, only now you are creating the article with the exact same settings on all locations. You are redirected to the edit department form here you can see that you are editing the department for all locations
- Press this button to deactivate the department in the corresponding line
  - Press this button to activate the deactivated department in the corresponding line
- Press this button to see pop up showing you info about the department in the corresponding line❷From this pop up you can also start unification of the department by pressing

Edit department

❶→ you can see the department name you are editing

Whenis next to the department name it indicates that changes for this department were done earlier but that these were not started/executed yet. You can checkout the task planner to see/edit the changed that are planned for the department
With you return to the department overview, when you already made some changes a pop up appears informing you that there are unsaved changes
- Pressto discard the changes and return to the department overview without changes to the department
- Pressto stay in the edit form
Withyou can go to the following department in the overview list without having to return to department overview
Withyou can go the previous department in the overview list without having to return to the department overview
Withyou can refresh the page

❷→ you can see for which locations you are making changes to the department

Pressto be able to select available locations for which you are going to edit the department
You can also press one of the shortcuts (notice the change of location(s) you are editing for)
- All → you will be editing for all locations where the department is present
- Active → you will be editing for all active locations where the department is present
- Deactivated → you will be editing for all deactivated locations where the department is present
- Existing → you will be editing for all existing locations
- Unified → you will be editing for all new locations

❸→ click Expand ∨ to be able to unify or disable the department on other locations, use Collapse ∧ to hide the section

When expanded this shows you the number of locations that are showing of the total, in the example❸it shows 2 locations of the total of 2 locations
You can use the shortcuts to indicate which locations you wan tot have showing
- Show all → all locations are shown
- Show active → only locations where the department is active are shown
- Show inactive → only locations where the department is deactivated and/or non-existent are shown
You can also select predefined criteria sets so you don’t have to select the same locations over and over again
By enabling one or more location sliders you indicate that you are going to unify or disable the department on the corresponding locations, disabling sliders will do the opposite
The colours in which sliders, or buttons indicate the corresponding status❹

❺→ the edit form is split into separate sections, which sections are shown depends on which features are enabled

General

When you are editing for multiple locations and the current field differs across the locations you can press this button to view what is different and you can immediately change it if you want. Example when combi deal number is not the same for all locations
- (Primary) behind the location means that this is the primary location, all field unifications are based on this location
- When you press Replace for all the field value that is used for the primary location is set for all locations
- When you press Replace with primary the field value that is used for the primary location is set for the location on the corresponding line

In this section you can edit the general settings, such as name, for the combi deal

Name → enter or change the name you want the department to have, make sure that this name is not an exact match for another department on the same location. You can use the same name on other locations, when you are editing for multiple locations the name is automatically the same for all selected locations
Number → enter/change the number to the sequence number that the department should have
Group → choose a group from the drop down menu to which this department will be assigned
Supplement → select an option group that can be added to the department
- Only options that are in all locations for which you are currently editing, can be selected from the drop down menu
- When articles from this department are added to an order, they can be supplemented by articles from the option group
- Max → you can enter a maximum number of articles that can be added as supplement to an article
Condiment → select an option group that can be added to the department
- Only options that are in all locations for which you are currently editing, can be selected from the drop down menu
- When articles from this department are added to an order, articles from the option group can be added to the ordered item as condiment
- Max → you can enter a maximum number of articles that can be added as condiment to an article
3rd party ID → here you can enter an ID that is provided by a third party, which they can use to identify the department
Fastlane → when the slider is enabled, normal articles from this department are sent to fast lane when they are ordered
Exclude from article search → when the slider is enabled, articles in this department (that are not as special articles in other departments) are not found when the search button in POS is used

Appearance

In this section you can set how the article button is shown on the various devices

PC text → you can enter a different department name that will be displayed on the PC
HHT text → you can enter a different name that will be displayed on the handheld device, easy to use shorter names because the device is much smaller
- You can see examples of what it’s going to look like❶
Font → you can use the drop down menu to select a font that is used for the text
Font size → you can enter the font size that will be used to display the text
Color → you can enter a colour code or click the colour to be able to choose the colour, this is the colour in which the text is displayed
Background → you can enter a colour code or click the colour to be able to choose the colour, this is the colour that is used as background colour
Font-style → optionally you can also set other style options
- → press this button to have the text displayed in bold
- → press this button to have the text displayed in italics
- → press this button to have the text underlined

Routing

In this section you can indicate in which sales areas this department is available. When in POS a table is opened that is not in a sales area from this list, this department and all its normal and special articles are not visible and cannot be added to the order. Normal articles that are in this department could still be visible in POS if they are added as special articles in a department that is available in a sales area that is not in this list (this also depends on the article settings)

→ press this button to move the selected sales area one place up in the sequence, the sequence number also changes
→ press this button to move the selected sales area one place down in the sequence, the sequence number also changes
→ press this button to add a sales area where the department will be available
→ press this button remove the selected sales area from the list, the department will no longer be available in that sales area

Department sales areas

Name → this column shows the sales area’s name, the checkbox indicated which sales area is selected
- (De)select the top most checkbox to (de)select all sales areas
Sequence → this shows the sequence number the sales area has in this overview

Add area

The example given here is for adding a sales area but the way a preparation area is added to the article is the same. Therefore it is not explained separately

The pop up window is divided in two columns
- Available → a list of all available sales/preparation areas❶
- Used → a list of sales/preparation areas that are already added to the article❷
- → use this button to search an area in the corresponding list, so you can quickly find what you need
- Useto change the sequence in which the areas are listed
- Useto be able to filter on text which areas are shown in the list
- Select all → enable/disable the checkbox to select/deselect all areas in the list at once. Or enable/disable one or more checkboxes of corresponding areas to select/deselect them
Between the two columns are four buttons❸

→ move all areas (selected and unselected) from the ‘Available’ list❶to the ‘Used’ list❷thus adding all sales/preparation areas to the article

→ move the selected areas from the ‘Available’ list❶ to the ‘Used’ list❷thus adding the selected sales/preparation areas to the article

→ move the selected areas from the ‘Used’ list❷to the ‘Available’ list❶thus removing the selected sales/preparation areas from the article

→ move all areas (selected and unselected) from the ‘Used’ list❷to the ‘Available’ list❶thus removing all sales/preparation areas for the article when the task is executed

When you are done adding/removing sales/preparation areas, pressto save the changes. These will be executed when the task is planned
- Useto revert all area changes and return to edit article form

Normal articles

In this section you can add and edit articles that are assigned to the department

Default view → because sometimes the article button appearance can be illegible in WM, with the slider you can change how the buttons are displayed on this page for PC view and Mobile view
- → buttons are displayed as black squares with a neon bar at the top, the neon bar is in the article’s background colour
- → buttons are completely in the article’s background colour
Hide articles without sales areas → when the slider is enabled the overview below ❶does not show articles that are not assigned to a sales area

Grid view → press this button to have the articles displayed as a list divided in columns❶
- Full screen → press this button to view the article overview in full screen
  - Grid view in full screen can be closed with X
- Copy sequence → with this buton you can either copy the article sequence from POS to HHT or vice versa
  - Hover the mouse over the button to see which button does what
- Move item up → with this button you can move the selected article(s) up in the sequence list, the sequence number is automatically adjusted
- Move item down → with this button you can move the selected article(s) down in the sequence list, the sequence number is automatically adjusted
- Navigate to articles → when you press this button a new window opens which leads you to the articles overview allowing you to edit articles, so you may add assign them to this department
- In the grid view the article names are shown as a list divided in columns, you can adjust the width of the column and the order in which the column is displayed
  - Name → this column displays the name of each article that is assigned as normal article to the department. By enabling the corresponding checkbox you can select an article. To (de)select all articles at once you can (de)select the top most checkbox
  - Sequence → this column shows the sequence number for the corresponding article, this number determines where the article button is placed in POS when the department is selected
  - Rm sequence → this column shows the RM sequence number for the corresponding article, this number determined where the article button is placed on the handheld terminal when the department is selected
  - The last column may show:
    - This indicates that the article is not present in all locations for which you are editing. Click the symbol to display a pop up
    - This indicates that the article is present in all locations but that the sequence is different in one or more locations. Press the icon to see a pop up

PC view → press this button to have the articles displayed as the buttons on POS❶
- Articles in line → from the drop down menu you can decide how many article buttons should be displayed per row in the overview
  - When you pressthe article buttons are shown in alphabetical sequence
  - When you pressthe articles are shown in sequence according to their sequence number

Special articles

In this section you can add and edit articles that are assigned to other departments but that are also available when this department is selected in POS

- Delete articles → press this button to indicate that the selected article should no longer be available when this department is selected on POS/handheld
- Navigate to articles → when you press this button a new window opens which leads you to the articles overview allowing you to edit articles, so you may assign them to this department
- Set the same sequence for PCs → enable the slider to use the handheld sequence for article buttons on the POS

When you are done creating or editing the department use the following buttons to complete or undo the changes

press this button to check whether creating or editing the article doesn’t cause any errors

press this button to save the changes and get redirected to the task planner to schedule when these changes will be executed on the POS system(s)

press this button to save and plan the changes immediately, you can change scheduling as long as the task has not been executed yet

press this button to undo all the changes you made during current editing session

Add/edit special articles

The pop up window is divided in two columns
- Available → a list of all available articles❶
- Used → a list of articles that are already added as special article to the department❷
- → use this button to search an article in the corresponding list, so you can quickly find what you need
- Useto change the sequence in which the articles are listed
- Useto be able to filter on text which articles are shown in the list
- Select all → enable/disable the checkbox to select/deselect all articles in the list at once. Or enable/disable one or more checkboxes of corresponding articles to select/deselect them
Between the two columns are four buttons❸
