Ordering

Per location this feature may be used differently and the way it works may vary from the description here. Some features may also not be available, or for certain users only, managers for example

When you are clocked and logged in, you are ready to place orders. The screen that is displayed is the Order Screen. Let’s first take a look what this screen actually shows. Next are a few pictures showing order screen cut outs of the different sections with a brief explanation

This section of the screen shows the details of the complete order

Order overview shows the articles that are currently (being) added to the order. The currently selected article, including its added options, is highlighted

Quantity of the article that is ordered
Main article name (size modifier name in front of the article name when assigned)
Article names of the options belonging to the main article (can be recognised because they have no quantity in front)
Price of the article (for options only if they have additional price which will be added)

Overall order information shows summarised information for the total order

Total: the total amount that has to be paid for all the articles and options in the order overview
Change: the cash amount that was given to the customer as change (if any)
Service Charge: the amount that is added as service charge (if any)
Course: shows to which the course the selected article from the order overview, belongs
Waiter: shows which waiter is currently logged in
A list of the total of articles ordered per course is shown, only courses that are in the current order are displayed

Buttons with these buttons you are able to open another screen

Order: this opens the order screen (if it’s not already displayed)
Discount: this opens the discount screen
Manager: this opens the manager screen

Add an article to the order

You may be able to choose between the three different store service areas. Different departments and articles may be available per service area, but adding articles, sizes and options is the same in all areas. However, the process of creating an order is different. Click on the service area name to see a short description:

Note that when you change Store Service Area while articles are already added to the order, the order is cancelled and the articles are removed

So when you are in Take Away and you have added three articles to the order, but the order is not yet paid. And you then press Dine in or Delivery, all articles and options are removed from the order and you’ll have to add them again if needed

Make sure the screen for the correct ‘Store Service’ is displayed
The blue letters in the example picture indicate thatis currently active
- No further actions are required, so you can immediately start adding articles
Press any of the available departments to display its linked articles

The highlighted square on the button indicates which department is currently selected.

Press any of the available articles to add it to the order
- The article is added to the order overview

When an article requires a size and/or free options, they become available as buttons on the right side of the screenIf no additions are available for the article, the buttons remain blank
- When the size modifiers are displayed, you have to select one before you can continue with the rest of the order. You can return to the basic order screen by pressingbut the article is then not added to the order
- When an article has multiple additions they are shown in sequence:

Size modifiers: press the button of the size you want to assign to the selected article. This size name is added in front of the article name on the order overview

Free option groups: press a free option group to display its available option articles

Free option: press a free option article to add to the main article. The options are directly below the main article in the order overview and have no amount in front of it. If the option you want is in another free option group, pressto return to the Free Option group buttons without adding an option

You now added one article, probably with size and option, to the order.
The Free Option Groups remain visible and can be selected to add more options to the current article. You can keep adding options in this way
To add another main article to the order, simply press an article buttonif required, change department first

Someone orders 10 articles at once

When all ten articles have the same size and options this can be easily added to the order, see example below where 10 cold espressos are ordered in one go

Enter 10 on the number pad
Press the article you want to add – COLD ESPRESSO
Select one of the sizes – REGULAR
Select a free option group – DECAF
Select the option you want to add – DECAF
Select another free option group – ICE CREAM
Select the option – CHOCOLATE SCOOP
You see on the order overviewthe prices are for 10 regular cold espressos and 10 scoops of chocolate ice cream
You have now successfully added 10 decaf regular sized cold espressos with a scoop of chocolate ice each

Press this button to remove one of the selected article and its assigned size and options

After you press this button with the 10 regular cold espressos selected, the overview will show:

DECAF
CHOCOLATE SCOOP 36,00

Press this button to add one of the selected article with its assigned size and options

After you press this button with the 10 regular cold espressos selected, the overview will show:

Search for an article

Because of all the different departments and the many articles, it may be hard to find the item you are looking for. You can also search for a specific item and have it displayed quickly

Pressto open the search screen
Use the on screen keyboardto enter a search query
The display shows the characters you entered(COF in the example picture)
The buttons display all available articles containing the exact combination of these characters
- Articles from all departments are shown
- Articles that are not available for the store service area, are not displayed
You can now select the article you are looking for and it is added to the order

Show information on the article

Some articles may have additional information for the user, that can be shown. E.g instructions on how to prepare it

Pressfollowed by the article button (don’t press the article first)
A display opens, showing the additional info that is entered in the Back Office
Pressto return to the basic order screen, so you can continue with the order

Article button in detail

A description of what is displayed on the article button

This is the name of the article that will be added when the button is pressed

This is the number of times the article is added in the current order

This is the colour that is assigned to the article. Multiple articles can have the same colour, so they are easily identified when they are of the same kind, for example

Modify the articles and options in the order

An option needs to be removed from an article or you want to change the option without removing it

Always make sure the article from which you want to delete or modify the option, is selected in the order overview
- Press the article in the order overview and/or check if it’s highlighted
A selected option can be recognised by the highlighted square on the button

Remove an option:

Select the option from the buttons displaying the added options to the article
All the options, belonging to the same option group as the selected one, are shown
Press the button corresponding with the option you want to delete
The option buttons are replaced with the Free Option Groups buttons
Press
The option is removed and is not in the order overview list anymore

Change an option:

Select the option from the buttons displaying the added options to the article
All the options, belonging to the same option group as the selected one, are shown
From these buttons select another option article
The option buttons are replaced with the Free Option Groups buttons and the option is changed to the one you chose. You can check this in the order overview

Add one or more extra options:

When the article to which you want to add one or more options, is selected in the order overview, you can select the Free Option Group
From the optionspress the one you want to add
To add more options repeat these steps

Don’t presswithout first selecting the correct option. This button always removes the last option that was modified for the article, so you may end up removing the wrong option!

Add text to an option

After you have selected a Free Option Group, the options are displayed. Other buttons also become available in this section, press either of these buttons before you choose an option to:

Add the text “Little” to the option you are going to choose

Add the text “Lot” to the option you are going to choose

Add the text “Without” to the option you are going to choose

Add the text “With” to the option you are going to choose

Change article size

You added an article with a size to the order, but that size has to be altered

Make sure the article for which the size is going to be changed is selected in the order overview
- You can do this by pressing on the article name in the order overview
- You can see whether it is selected when it is highlighted
Press
The size modifier buttons become visible again and you can select another size
You can see the change for the selected article immediately in the order overview

Remove an article

You added an article (with size and options) to the order, but the customer changed his mind or you accidentally pressed the wrong article

Make sure the article that has to be removed is selected in the order overview
- You can do this by pressing on the article name in the order overview
- You can see whether it is selected when it is highlighted
Press
The selected article, and all its added options, is removed from the order

Note that the selection you made in the order overview is voided. So if you selected 10 COLD ESPRESSO, ALL TEN, including their options, are voided!

Add extra info to the article

A customer orders an article and requests something that cannot be added via an option or pre-programmed button

Press the article you want to order
If a size is required, you have to select this first
Press
The message screen opens
Use the on screen keyboardto enter the text that you want to add to the article
In the display you can see what you entered
Pressto add the entered text to the article
In the order overviewyou can now see the text added to the article

Remove complete order

You created an order, but the customers left or changed their mind. You don’t have to void one item at a time

Pressand the complete order is cancelled and the order overview becomes empty
